Cardboard Fire at Shopping Center


Scottsdale Police tell Scottsdale Arizona News that on Sunday, April, 8, 2012 at 11:00 p.m MST Scottsdale Fire and Police were called to the the Sonora Village shopping center in reference to a fire. Crews found a small fire contained in small stacks of cardboard and paper in the hallway shared by Four Peaks Brewery, Bedmart, Peter Piper Pizza, and other businesses.

Scottsdale Police, Scottsdale Fire Department, PMT Ambulance and the Phoenix Fire Department responded to the fire.

A Scottsdale Fire Department fire investigator determined that the fire was likely started by smoking materials in a break area. Nothing suspicious was found.

Staff and patrons from Peter Piper Pizza and Four Peaks Brewery were temporarily displaced by the fire

Minor smoke and water damage reported. No injuries to firefighters or customers.
