At 5:03 PM MST the National Weather Service Meteorologists detected a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 MPH (miles per hour). This storm was located near Ahwatukee and moving west at 15 mph.
Other locations inn the warning include but are not limited to Sky Harbor Airport, South Phoenix, Downtown Phoenix, South Mountain Park, Arizona State Fairgrounds and Phoenix International Raceway.
