Strong thunderstorm east of Scottsdale, Arizona on Sunday, July 28, 2014 at 11:10 PM MST. Filmed on the northwest corner of Indian School Road + Pima Road.
The National Weather Service issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Central Maricopa County until 11:30 PM MST. At 10:53 PM MST NWS Meteorologists detected strong thunderstorms and outflow winds along a line extending from the Salt River Tubing Recreation Area to Granite Reef Dam to the Salt River Indian Community to Tempe to Chandler Fashion Center Mall to Bapchule and moving northwest at 25 MPH.
Locations impacted include: Downtown Scottsdale, Papago Park, Camelback Mountain, Sky Harbor Airport, Fountain Hills, Downtown Phoenix, Paradise Valley, South Mountain Park, South Phoenix, McDowell Mountain Park, Arizona State Fairgrounds, Piestewa Peak Park, Scottsdale Airport and Scottsdale.
