On February 20, 2008 a severe thunderstorm hit north Scottsdale around 9:45 p.m. This dramatic video was filmed facing south from the area of the 101 Freeway and Scottsdale Road. Enjoy this rare Scottsdale winter thunderstorm!
The Phoenix National Weather Service warning at 9:20 p.m.: Now... Isolated showers and thunderstorms will move from west to east across the Phoenix metro area through 1 AM. Brief heavy rain and pea sized hail will be possible with these storms as they move to the east at around 20 MPH. [video]
